chingasos


here's the current stage of a new 48x48 i started this week. man, this one was a beast to tame. of course it doesn't look like much right now, but i had to really chop away and suck up some self doubt to get to a point where i can see some potential. for me, the early stages are quite vital. if i don't get the essential composition and shape down early it will end up just being a worked up bad painting and will show in the end. if i feel some uneasiness in the beginning i'll start over. there's a real shitty feeling when you're not excited about what you're working on. when i say excited i'm referring to being challenged and the like.
